As of the date that this policy was written, I have not accepted payment for topic insertions, company or product mentions, or sponsor-authored content in my posts. I do not feature advertising space on this site intended to generate revenue.
While I have not accepted payment for inclusion into this site by any organizations, I do engage in relationships with companies or similar entities aligned with my personal and professional beliefs – in particular, those that support healthy lifestyles and sustainable business practices. It is important to note that I have had or currently do have a relationship with companies or similar entities that may benefit me in the form of free product samples, other related merchandise, services, travel, event tickets and/or publicity for my blog. In most cases, I have been provided free product samples in return for hosting a giveaway, reviewing a product, or for my participation in a food-related contest. I always disclose the exact nature of any benefits to me in the related posts (you’ll see them at the end, in italics, labeled Disclosures). Those companies or similar entities include:
- Attune Foods
- Cabot Creamery Cooperative
- Cooking Light Magazine
- Eident Sports Marketing
- Funky Monkey Snacks
- Icelandic Milk & Skyr Co.
- LaLa Lunchbox
- Midpack Runner/Tim Woodbury
- Peeled Snacks
- The Chew/ABC
- Tuttorosso/Red Gold Tomatoes
I participate or have participated in several blogger communities. My membership in some of these communities was or is contingent upon posts featuring sponsors’ brands, company names, social media promotional outlets, and/or related content. These communities include:
- Austin Livestrong Marathon 2013 ambassadors/Conley Sports Marketings
- Cooking Light Community Bloggers
- Cox Rhode Races/Eident Sports Marketing Rhode Scholars
In some posts, I will include affiliate links where readers can purchase products. On purchases made through Amazon, No Meat Athlete, or Running Recipes affiliate links, I receive a small commission. As of the date of this writing, I have not included affiliate links to any products of my own.
The views and opinions expressed on this blog solely mine, and should not be interpreted as reflecting the views, opinions or policies of any company or similar entity with which I have a relationship through the blog. Any product claim, statistic, quote or other representation about a product or service should be verified with the manufacturer or provider.
It should be noted that I also have relationships with companies in the biopharmaceutical industry, and do accept payment for freelance projects and ongoing consulting work from various biotech, pharmaceutical and market research companies. I am contractually obligated to keep a strict “firewall” between my biopharmaceutical freelance business and any other activity in which I engage, including this blog. My corporate relationships in this industry have no direct connection or impact on my blog posts, and my clients have no input on, influence over or other relationship to the content on Eating The Week.
